Life Changing Trip for a First-Timer

This was my first mission trip EVER. It was also my first time with Group Mission Trips, and basically my first time being with a bunch of people that I have never met prior to this trip. The mission trip I attended was in New Bern, North Carolina.

The mission trip EXCEEDED my expectations! I have never met a group or been to an event that was so on FIRE for Jesus. And believe me I have been to many camps, trips, etc. I am so thankful for this opportunity I had.

I truly was impressed with this organization, like seriously. It literally blew my mind. What struck me the most was that I was with people my age, young people, who wanted to make a difference for Jesus. People who were soooo friendly and just wanted to do their best to serve the community.  I love that I met people who were so caring, sensitive, helpful, kind, etc. 

It made me renew my faith in humanity; despite the sins in this world, hope still exists. 

I love my crew, and we double teamed with another crew. Shout out to crew 25 and 26! You know who you are! I met an amazing crew leader who emulated Jesus Christ, and I met lovely crew members who were passionate about doing Christ's work. Crew members who were dedicated, hard working, and fun to hang around with. They were such amazing and pleasant people to be with.

My resident was killin' it and being a great hostess to us. She was welcoming and kind. She told awesome stories to us. I thank her for letting us in her life. 

I love the Red Shirt staff people who were so incredibly awesome, fun, and exciting people. You can tell that they really believe in the mission and are firm believers of Christ.

I'm so happy that I was able to bond with my youth group. I got to know them better, and I also got to make new friends! I made wonderful memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.

Thank you Group Mission Trips for giving me this awesome opportunity. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Because of you guys, I was able to come out of my comfort zone, and I learned new things about myself and people that I didn't know before!
